Welcome to the Moody Powder Pushers!

Who We Are:

We are a non-profit snowmobile club operating out of Madison County, Idaho, since 1989. The Moody Powder Pushers is the name of our club, but we are also known as the Madison County Snowmobile Club.

We are a family oriented club with members from Idaho Falls to Island Park, Idaho.  Our club’s name of “Moody” is an actual location located in Madison County, Idaho, at latitude 43.837 and longitude -111.635. Our elevation is 5,144 feet.

The Moody area is also a part of the Big Hole Mountains. This is a mountain range in Madison, Jefferson and Teton counties in Idaho, which is Snow Grooming District #33. The Big Hole Mountains climb to 8,665 feet (2,641.09 meters) above sea level. The Big Hole Mountains are located at latitude - longitude coordinates of N 43.69297 and W -111.330783.  Though the Big Hole Mountains are in our backyard, you can see our members riding all over Idaho and the western states.

Come join us!

Simply stated, the purpose of our club is to encourage snowmobile interest, meet other enthusiasts like you, and have fun while doing it! We have approximately 4-6 club rides and other activities each year, and strongly encourage entire families to come with us. We also get involved with local, state and national issues surrounding snowmobiling, and provide information to the Idaho State Snowmobile Association. Our members consist of all walks of life.  Blue collar to white collar to no collar at all. We just know you by two things: your name, and what machine you ride.

To join us, all you need to do is fill out our annual Membership Application which can be obtained from one of our Officers or Directors, or by printing it off below.  Our Membership Application in .pdf format can be obtained by clicking on the following document:

Other Moody Powder Pushers News . . .

We need to get our ISSA and Moody Powder Pushers memberships in as soon as possible so we can receive our SnoBiz magazine. Remember that SnoBiz now comes out bi-monthly.  Four issues come out each year:  September/October, November/December, January/February, and March/April.  Our memberships only last from November 1st through October 31st each year.  So, if you don’t pay until the Scoot and Shoot, you will miss every issue except the last one.  Make sure you stay on top of your membership.

Our annual snowmobile recreational registrations are due.  You may have already received your forms from the Department of Parks and Recreation.  At the top of the form, there is a line entitled “Primary Use Area”.  If you turn to the back page, you will find that the Big Hole Mountains and Madison County has a 33 Use Code.  If “33” doesn’t show in your space, cross out the number and put "33" in.  If it doesn’t have a number at all, again put “33” in.  It helps the area we ride in!  Use Code "22" is Island Park.

● We encourage members to send in nominations for the other awards such as Groomer of Year, Dealer of Year, Family of Year, Snowmobiler of the Year and Club of the Year. For those who are interested, there are also scholarships awarded.

● Please let us know (or volunteer yourself) on any ways to make our club better.

● Also, invite your friends out!  Our goal is to attract more members to our club/sport. These newsletters will be in the local dealer’s stores too, to help advertise.  Get the word out!
